  4. I just read your info. I will be going to Disney World with my new husband in September. He is vegan, I am not, and I was a bit worried that we wouldn't find many places to eat. My daughter is coming with us and she has gluten, egg and dairy allergies. Your info makes me feel much better. Thank you!

  5. This is great! I recently went vegan after being vegetarian for 23 years. I am making notes where I can eat during our next Disney trip! Thank you!

  6. This is amazing. My husband is a Vegan and I'm a vegetarian (Dairy free) and heading out in a couple weeks. I was nervous about our food options, but not anymore. Thank you so much for doing this!!

  7. Wonderful! I'm going to WDW this year for the first time after becoming a vegan. It's been a year and a half and needless to say it's been difficult.

I tried calling ahead on our last trip to Disneyland and didn't have this good of an experience. At California Adventure's Wine Country Trattoria, we called ahead twice, once several weeks before the visit, with a reminder the night before our visit. Both times we were assured that we would be accomodated. On the night of the visit, the waitress said she didn't know anything about dietary restrictions and said no one else did. She was extremely rude and when she arrived with the food, it was a child sized bowl of spaghetti with tomato sauce on it. She dropped it on the table with a clatter and that was it. She said they "picked the meal and cheese out of the salad".

I've had similar experiences with other restaurants on vacation. I call ahead, the chef talks to me, then the wait staff say they have no idea what I'm talking about, and eventually, after a few embarrassing moments with the wait staff, the manager and a chef gathered around our table, we settle on some kind of vegetarian option just to be done with it.
